The four largest theater companies - Regal Entertainment Group, AMC Entertainment Inc., Cinemark Holdings Inc. With theater consolidations and chains offering amenities such as stadium seating and full-service restaurants, a theater company's ability to distinguish itself can be critical. Small or independent theaters are more likely to sell alcohol than large chains because they attract a more mature clientele and the staff is more likely to be familiar with customers, said David Hancock, director of film and cinemas for IHS Global Insight, based in Englewood, Colo. But it's unusual to allow the beverages to be consumed theater-wide, experts said.Īt the AMC Loews Waterfront 22, for example, alcohol is sold in a restaurant and can be drunk in VIP sections of theaters, for which movie tickets are more expensive. Do these (servers) have the same allowances as bartenders to cut somebody off?”Ĭollier resident Kirke Pendergast, 46, who bought a soda and popcorn, said he has no problem with alcohol sales but doesn't like the idea of people drinking alcohol around children. Still, she said, rules need to be in place. Will be back for sure.“I think it's a great idea,” said Roxanna Tito, 53, of Mars, who ordered a Diet Coke and nachos for herself and her husband, Richard Tito, 66. There was a good vibe through the whole place, not stressed or loud/crazy. There were lots of staff and as I walked by the kitchen to the restrooms, the staff was busy but not loud which was nice. We went to see Indiana Jones and there was a cool selfie station set up in an Indiana Jones adventure style. It looks like there’s only one men’s and one women’s but despite a movie just getting out there were still plenty of stalls in the women’s-amazing. It was Saturday night so there was live music. You can just go eat there or have happy hour, no movie. I also liked the ambience of the theater. The screen was in great condition, we were in the back row and could easily see the entire screen even with sinking into the seats! The sound was awesome, definitely surround sound making an immersive experience. In the future we will order beer or wine. I am a lightweight and I could not feel this drink at all. There were lots to choose from and all the items had fun movie themed names. The seat rows are quite wide so you don’t have to trip over feet to get out of the row-that was awesome. I liked that they were efficient when walking past us to other customers in our row. Wait staff was very friendly when we saw them. Please, drinks first, especially the water. We ordered cocktails and water and food all the same time. The napkins at the seats were very small and with the table being too high, there was some loss of sandwich onto my lap not covered well with several small napkins. I also wish that the napkins were lap sized. The seats also recline by easy push of a button so the seats are very comfortable but I felt like I needed a booster chair to eat off my plate so that was a bit uncomfortable. I’m short, my husband is tall yet the tables were a little too high for both of us because the seats are very cushy so you sink. Your table folds out in front of you from that side table. Then between your loveseat and the next pair of loveseats is a small divider about a foot wide, big enough to hold napkins and condiments but you are still next to the next person over. Each paired “love seat” has a wide arm rest between (enough to have a cup holder and your arm). Despite showing the that seats look like pairs separated from other pairs, all the seats are in a row next to each other. It showed the available seats and what percentage of the seats had been sold so far. The online reservation system was awesome. Not enough to keep us away, we will be back for sure. Loved almost everything about this experience-my review includes a couple nick picky things that could be improved.
